Donegal Firefighters Association has handed over a magnificent €34,827 to the Donegal Hospice and €10,000 to the Northwest Hospice following their annual car wash which occurs every year on the August bank holiday.
This money was handed over at a recent event which also marked the early retirement of well known firefighter Eunan Doherty from the Carndonagh station.
Donegal Firefighters first began this hugely successful charity event over 10 years ago after members of the service sadly had to make use of the hospice.
To date these firefighters have raised a staggering €750,000 for charity from this annual car wash event. A mighty congratulations to each and every one of our fire fighters.
